Chief Minister's Honhaar Undergraduate Scholarship Program

Punjab's flagship merit scholarship pays 100% of tuition for about 30,000 talented Punjab students per cycle in selected disciplines at public universities and colleges. Applications are online only via the PHEC Honhaar portal.

What it covers

  • 100% tuition fee for the undergraduate degree

Who can apply

  • Punjab domicile
  • Enrolled in selected ('future-proof') disciplines at a public-sector university or college in Punjab
  • Monthly household income below PKR 300,000
  • Not receiving another fully funded scholarship
  • Selection on merit using Matric/Intermediate marks

How to apply

  1. 1Register on honhaarscholarship.punjabhec.gov.pk when the cycle opens
  2. 2Fill academic, income and enrolment details online (no hard copy)
  3. 3If selected, submit notarized legal documents through your department focal person

Tips from successful applicants

  • Beware of fake document agents; PHEC/universities warn about them.
  • Medicine/dentistry eligibility is limited to certain years in some phases.
  • Covers tuition only; plan for hostel and living costs separately.
