EU4M: Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in Mechatronic Engineering

University of Oviedo (Spain) with consortium partners (Erasmus+) · Multiple

EU4M is a two-year Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in mechatronic and micro-mechatronic systems, covering robotics, automation, sensors and control, with EU-funded intakes listed through 2028-2030. Students study in at least two of Spain (University of Oviedo), Germany (Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences), France (ENSMM Besancon) and Sweden (University of Skovde), each track taught in that university's language. It suits mechanical, electrical and mechatronics engineers who also speak (or are learning) Spanish, German or French.

  • Insurance coverage included
  • Multiple national master's degrees from the universities attended

Who can apply

  • Good academic record (complete grade lists are assessed); professional experience is desirable
  • Ability to follow courses in at least two of Spanish, German, French and English - English alone does not meet the language requirement

How to apply

  1. 1Pick a mobility track that combines English (Skovde) with a second language you can study in (Spanish, German or French)
  2. 2Obtain language certificates for both languages
  3. 3Register on the EU4M application system and complete the online form
  4. 4Upload all supporting documents digitally before the mid-January deadline
  5. 5If selected, post hard copies of the attachments before the assigned postmark deadline

Tips from successful applicants

  • Most Pakistani applicants will need a second language: start a German (Goethe-Institut Karachi/Lahore/Islamabad), French (Alliance Francaise) or Spanish (Instituto Cervantes) course at least a year ahead
  • PEC-accredited mechanical, electrical, mechatronics or industrial engineering degrees fit the profile well
  • Highlight robotics competitions, PLC/automation, embedded systems or control projects and industry internships
  • Keep HEC-attested and MOFA-apostilled degree documents ready for the posted hard-copy stage
  • If you want an English-only robotics option, note that JEMARO is paused and similar programmes such as IFRoS and MIR currently do not advertise EMJM scholarships
