ILSPSD: International Law of Security, Peace and Sustainable Development (Erasmus Mundus)

A 24-month joint master in international law, security and peace. Students start at Leuphana University Lüneburg (Germany, LL.M. or M.A. track), then IBEI Barcelona (Spain), then specialise at the University of Glasgow (UK), Université libre de Bruxelles (Belgium), NOVA Lisbon (Portugal) or University of Tartu (Estonia). It suits law, international relations and political science graduates.

Official: EMJM scholarship applications for the 2027-2029 intake close 4 January 2027 (23:59 CET); self-funded applications close 31 March 2027.

What it covers

  • Participation costs (tuition) covered for EM scholars
  • EUR 1,400 monthly allowance for up to 24 months
  • Allowance covers travel, visa and installation

Who can apply

  • Completed bachelor's (180 ECTS) at the time of application for scholarship applicants
  • LL.M. track: 60 ECTS in law; M.A. track: 60 ECTS in relevant subjects
  • English C1: IELTS 7.0, TOEFL iBT 95 (old scale), CAE or CPE
  • French B2 or French-medium degree for the Brussels track
